Hi there and welcome to my website....in the words of Austin Powers, International Man of Mystery, please allow myself to introduce my...self.
Ahem, 7 years ago at the age of 45 (making my current performance age range early 40's-early 50's), I became a film & television actor as a life choice. After 25 years in Advertising and Marketing, I fulfilled a large part of my life plan by completing the transition into acting and thus realizing my dream.
Some recent performance credits include several feature films; My Father and the Man in Black, Mystic, In the Rough, Minus 8, Aftermath, Defining Instincts, Buck Wild, One Last Breath, The Turn Card, and over the past 5 years has played a significant role in over 40 different short films of all genres. During that same time frame my TV experience boasts work on over 50 commercials, 5 pilots, and either principal or lead roles on such programs as Zero Hour, MayDay, Forensic Factor, Cold Blood, Bikers, and Underworld Gangs to name a few.
Originally my experience came from more traditional theatre productions that followed my graduation from George Brown College, Performing Arts (1980). I have frequently appeared at the Galt Little Theatre (in Cambridge) including the Canadian premiere of The Perfect Manhattan. I've been a Bernice Adams nominee and also nominated and won multiple Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards. Until very recently I was the Creative Director spearheading the Young Adults Performing Arts Program (YAPAP) at the GLT for 5 seasons and directed 12 productions in that time. I take enormous pride in the fact that several of those students have gone on to post-secondary arts programs.
Acting has contributed to my success at the poker tables as well, winning 2 Canadian championships that carried prizes of entry in the World Series of Poker 2008, and the LA Celebrity Invitational in 2009 respectively. In 2010, I won entry as a Canadian delegate/competitior into the PartyPoker Premier League IV Showdown (televised on TSN over 13 weeks in late 2010/early2011). 2011 continues a good run also having captured another international entry into another World Poker Tour Meain Event held in Venice in Feb 2011.
In my spare time, I am a dedicated husband of 23+ years and father of "3; one of each (boy, girl & dog)." I'm also an extremely busy Hockey Canada Certified on ice official and participate in all levels of organized minor hockey, both boys and girls, High School, and mens and womens recreational leagues as well. In my summers I apply my equivalent qualifications as an umpire with Baseball Canada and enjoy giving back to the kids and the game in this manner. I guess I love to be abused (as a ref/ump).
Bottom line: I am passionate about everything I get into and committed to the best possible result!
